  • New Year re-solutions on track

I know it is early in the year and too early to brag...

Weight.. loss 17... but I am still hovering at a set point, need to get it under the 150 mark.. grr . We are eating much healthier..
.. am thinking about what palatable thing I can do to crash through that.. and not make my body fear it is starving..   like speeding  up my morning walks.

Organizing.. I am still moving in that direction, and now that I can see what there is. I can see what more needs to be done/go.
I have another yard sale is ready to throw the doors open for tomorrow.
Not only have I got more space, I am getting some healthy $$$$S.

In chatting and being the cheer leader (more for keeping myself on track)  I have inspired my friend Mary Ann to organize a neighborhood yard sale and now a second one tomorrow. 4 out of 5 are/were paying for storage units.

We figured out how much each has spent on storing things they barely use or visit..in the past two years.. Amazingly.. they knew.. but hearing it out loud.. made the difference.  11 of us went to lunch yesterday at a new and fine dining restaurant (Indian fare).. all kinds of happy there!
That also takes care of doing things we like.

Storage is a fact of life.. We are all working toward at home Storage Organizing Solutions.

We, the gang are also killing the SOW.. Same Old Way..  We each are telling what we are doing and why..

We found a new charity... to some of  us, Habitat For Humanity stores... right under our noses.
One of our friends works there. Most of use have dropped things off or shopped there from time to time

Since most of us have all gotten rid of the less desirable trinkets.. our quality is is getting better... Clean and fresh inventory sells.
I hold over some things ( only one per) and the rest get boxed and go to Habitat... it usually sells right away.
They have a much larger following and they are open 6 days a week. and not competition for ourselves

Since we live some 45 miles away ... we are going to join the others yard sales.. The more the merrier is always more fun.

Early this week, just minutes before the gathering, we paid off the truck.. over a year earlier..

We saved bigger $$$ over the paulty interest rates the banks are paying a year. and we paid off another credit card.. the one with the higher interest got most of our attention first in the form of additional monthly payments and VOILA!
I have one more to go!!!

I am happy with what we have focused on. It looks like we are All doing better in all the re-solution categories.....from little ACORNS... and all that....lol

That's the new from here.. what is going on in your neck of the woods...
