Pidgin as a language
I have been laughing my silly head off, I visited this pidgin language site. Hawaii's other language. It is a mixed bag of words the newer Hawaiians from other places in the world made up to be able to communicate with the locals.
I love listening to pidgin.. it has it's own rhythm and musical as the spoken words go up and down the scale. Truly mesmerizing .
When you go to this site.. it is like being here. You git plenny Akamai!
I am amazed at how many Hawaiian and pidgin words have crept into our own daily vocabulary.http://www.eyeofhawaii.com/Pidgin/pidgin.htm#pidgintop
I played around and 'dinked' on everything offered.
My favorite word is Yah.. say something .. anything and then say yah? (uplift in tone) ... it's like saying 'do you agree'
Yah ! like it has two sylables ...and you can hear it means ofcourse!
Yah is one of those words that has so many meanings, depending on how you sing/say it.

Interesting!
Seems a lot of languages have some sort of "pidgin" when you really hear it.
Yah? or Yah! or Yah. just having fun playing with the word. I've lived in a few places in the country and always was amazed at the dialect and vocabulary specific to each place.
I hear Yah and think Dog the Bounty Hunter
